When it comes to the term boot camp, most people think that their dog are going to a place of strict enforcement, lock down 20 of the 24 hours a day and all discipline without any fun for their dog. Although it may be true for some boot camps, it isn’t how we train our dogs at Elite. At Elite, we believe that there needs to be a balance while training your dog. The dogs are trained with both positive and negative reinforcement. All the dogs at Elite will be trained in a housing environment and they will be trained in public environments. The owners provide a list of in house issues to be improved on and also the dogs will be exposed to as many elements in pubic as possible so that when the owner receives their dog back, loud noises and other startling events that may occur while walking your dog will not distract the dog. The dogs get to play outside for at least 3 hours a day and that doesn’t include training. We only accept a few dogs a month for this camp because we train for quality not quantity. Once the dogs are trained, Elite will spend up to 7 days training the owners on controlling their dogs. Elite believes that when it comes to training, get it right the first time so their will not be any problems later on in the dog’s life.
